To tie in with the film, Electronic Arts is bringing out ‘The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift’ game. Set in a world related to the movie, the game features software technology called the ‘drift mechanic’ that’ll let you really make the most of drifting in the game, whether you play racing titles all the time or not.

It’s all about the drifting, and this is the first game to have developed an authentic drift model, making the experience as close to the real thing as it can.  It also uses the rumble technology to its best ability by making it react in more detail to each turn you make and how fast you are accelerating or breaking!  

Even better, EA worked with the film team to use its sound effect library, plus is also using the same kinds of camera angles used in the movie, to really get you sucked into the experience.

The detail is also amazing, with the car models each being made up of over 10,000 polygons, and the competition’s AI (artificial intelligence) uses more new technology; this time called an Advanced Rubber Band AI system, to really make races more competitive and knuckle biting.

Finally, no good racing game is complete without lots of customisation options, and in this game you can feel a part of the underground street racing world by tuning your ride with a hundred licensed wheels and over 500 body kits from real Japanese companies. You can even swap out your engine!
